Thanks for dropping by! For those of you who don't know us. My name is Kurt and our family (as you might want to view a few of the gazillion photos of them posted below) is basically an ordinary family that lives in Dallas. Well really, each of my family members are extraordinarily cool and I am the ordinary one. But allow me to introduce you to who we love. He makes the difference! You see, my aim is not to become a skilled, expert photo-artist, but to remain an amateur in this area. I have other priorities that take precedent over my pic-interests right now. But I still seek to capture meaningful events for my family and friends just the same. What matters to me are things that will last longer than digital/hardcopy photos. It is all types of people from every country, their culture and the wonderful things of God that intrigue me.
To me it is all about knowing Jesus Christ and making Him known! You could say Kurt wants the pics that God takes of all the moments of his life, so to speak (all that I think, say and do) to please Him and represent Him well in the world. To me it is important to have right relationships ...first upwards and then outwards. But what about you? Do you know Christ in a personal way? There is no way anyone can... until they are regenerated inside, until they are born from above (see John 3). Jesus tells us that we must be born again spiritually to inherit the Kingdom of God. Have you been? Listen, God is not verklempt or religious! Sure He hates sin that destroys, but HE LOVES YOU. He made you. He knows how you feel. He understands every aspect about all your problems. He knows your family background and seriously cares about every member. He knows your name. You have value and matter hugely to Him! And God wants you to enjoy abundant life in His Spirit 24/7/365. Everything God does, He does out of LOVE. He longs to have a close friendship with you through His HOLY Son who died for you on a cruel, lonely Roman cross, but guess what... Christ lives again! Yup and He is praying for you even now. God the Father physically raised Him from the dead so Jesus could be your Leader and Life-saver! It is time for you to turn your back on all wrong-doings. We have all blown it ...yeah with sin, you know what I mean with that old, partying, worldly way of life. Remember that it is only forgiven sinners who go to heaven... instead of to the only other alternative..to H-E-Double-Hockey-Stick.
God never even created that place called Hell for people anyway, so why opt for it? He originally made that ugly pit for fallen angels. So be WILLING to lose any habit, any plan, any so called friend that you have been living your life for. Put Christ first! Sure, love all people, but live primarily for Christ. Give up all rights to your own life. If you are going to be a part of God's world-changing plan, you cannot be your own boss any longer. By candid prayer, invite Jesus into you - yes into your very person. Let Him guide you and rule without rival daily. Life is so good with Christ at the helm. He will lift you to the highest level and do the best for you there if you will only let Him.
Ok, enough Kurt! How do I begin a new life in Him? Simple, here are six steps in:
1. REALIZE that you are a sinner (All have sinned and fall short. Rom. 3:23)
2. RECOGNIZE that Christ died on the Cross in your place (While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Rom. 5:8).
3. You must REPENT (God... commands all people everywhere to repent. Acts 17:30).
4. You must RECEIVE Jesus into your life (Behold I [Jesus] stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him. Rev. 3:20).
5. You must RESPOND now (Today is the day of salvation, now is the acceptable time. 2 Cor. 6:2). The devil says put it off until tomorrow, but God says, Do it now. So, would you pray a suggested prayer that goes something like this...
Dear Lord Jesus,
I know I am a sinner, but I desire a relationship with You. I believe You died on the cross for my sins. Please forgive me for hurting You. Right now, in the best way I know, I turn from all my wrong-doings and by faith, I open the door of my heart to receive You. I invite You to fill me with the Holy Spirit and to take charge of my life. Keep me, use me, and with Your love, change me into what You want me to be. Thank You for saving me! Amen.
Go ahead and voice it to Him now, if this expresses your sincere desire!
6. You must be willing to REPRESENT, going public with Him through word and deed (Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven. Mat 10:32-33). Never be ashamed to tell your friends about Christ. Everyone who Jesus called, He called openly and publicly. Jesus said, He who is not with Me is against Me; and he who does not gather with Me scatters. (Mat 12:30). The Bible says, He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. (1 Jn. 5:12).
If you just prayed that prayer and meant it (whether you felt anything or not) Christ has moved in to take residence in your heart! The Lord has fully forgiven you. How amazing is that? You will spend eternity in heaven, and God will continue to cleanse you of all unrighteousness or what I call: lame living (see 1 Jn. 1:9).
Like photos? There are lots of way-cool snapshots, of sorts, of Jesus in the Bible. Start prayerfully reading it daily to check them out. While here though, I just hope you will see glimpses of His Love in our smiles, tears and laughter. Our photos would be utterly depressing if He were not with us. I would never even feel like posting any pics. Sin and Satan would surely have stolen our joy. We would be left to our own weirdness, weak devices and have no hope. But we do have JOY! Jesus is our living HOPE and the reason we live! His Spirit is also praying for you, so learn the basics, know what you believe and call out to God daily. Grow in connection with a Christ-honoring, Bible teaching church.
